Investors

Invest in Ghana’s tomato value chain.

FarmMate connects contracted farmers, post-harvest handling, processing and market access in one business. We work with investors and financiers who want returns and lasting impact on Ghana’s food system.

Why Now

Ghana grows tomatoes it cannot keep, then imports tomatoes it cannot grow in time. Much of the harvest is lost in the glut months, and the country relies on imports in the lean months.

FarmMate has spent years building the pieces that close that gap: a network of contracted out-growers, a post-harvest hub with processing and storage, and CountryFresh, our brand for fresh tomatoes and tomato puree. The next stage is scale.

Why FarmMate

A Clear Market Gap
Ghana does not grow enough tomatoes to meet its own demand all year, so a large share is imported.
Assets Already Built
The Legon Post-Harvest Hub was completed in November 2025, with a processing line, cold rooms, a warehouse and a quality control laboratory.
Farmers Under Contract
Over 3,000 contracted farmers across 10 regions, farming to one FarmMate protocol.
Buyers Waiting for Supply
Buyers have signed letters of intent for CountryFresh fresh tomatoes and tomato puree.
Government Partnership
Official Private Sector Implementing Partner of the Ghana Tomato Self-Sufficiency Initiative (GHATSI).
One Integrated Value Chain
Production, aggregation, processing and market access run as one business, so value stays in Ghana.
